We
invite you to come tarry awhile in the warmth and splendor of
our inn. As you step through the huge oak front door into the
magnificent entry hall, with its grand
staircase lighted by a stained - glass window, you'll sense
the romance of the Victorian era. Cabbage roses abound in wallpapers,
and rich fabrics, as they did a century ago. Enjoy the fireplace
in our antique -
filled parlor; the baby grand piano in our spacious
dinning room; our inviting front porch, crisply dressed
in wicker and chintz, is the ideal place to relax and enjoy
a summer afternoon or evening watching the world go by.
Breakfast will be served to you at the dinning room table or
on our cozy glassed in sunporch . . . . . freshly prepared
fruit, warm homemade breads and muffins, a variety of hot and
cold cereals, juices, fresh brewed coffee, tea or cocoa; and
on weekends, delicious specialties such as bacon - cheddar quiche,
blueberry buttermilk pancakes, apple - cinnamon French toast
or a ham and Swiss egg bake.
You'll enjoy complimentary
refreshments . . . . a cookie jar filled with just baked
goodies', perhaps some hot mulled apple cider or look in our
guest pantry for some bottled water or ice tea, soda or carbonated
water . . . . . at bedtime, perhaps a sip of sherry and a little
chocolate.
About
Our Area . . . . .
Flemington's historic district is nationally listed
and a great place for a stroll. Just steps from our door
are dozens of designer outlets, specialty shops,
antique stores and fine dining. Down the street stands
the historic courthouse where the "Trial of the Century",
the Lindbergh baby kidnapping trial, was held in 1935.
Nearby, the quaint towns of New Hope and Lambertville offer
creative artworks, charming cafes, theater and cabarets.
